Group Exercise for Kant's Duty Theory

(Notes on the importance of group exercises.

In this activity, each group will work on the issue of consent, as it is relevant to Kant's Second Formulation of his Categorical Imperative.

In groups:

1) Make up an imaginary task that requires teamwork.

2) Explain why proceeding with your imaginary task against one of the participant's consent (even if it would be in that participant's own interest) would nevertheless be immoral according to Kant.

3) Explain why someone could disagree with the explanation you gave in 3), above.

4) Be prepared to present your findings.
