Extra Credit #1

For 2.5% of extra credit, to be applied to your final course grade, seek out the assistance of our tutor at least twice before the middle of the semester/session.  You will be given a slip of paper each time you visit our tutor: photograph them and send them to me as verification that of your visits.

(If you visit our tutor more than twice, keep track of your visits in the same way so that those visits can be applied to the In-Class Participation portion of your final course grade.)

Extra Credit #2

For 2.5% of extra credit, also to be applied to your final course grade, attend some on-campus event and apply the skills we've developed over the course of the semester.

Your application of the skills we've developed over the course of the semester should be done by 1) summarizing and evaluating an argument heard at some on-campus event, or 2) synthesizing various arguments on a single topic heard at different on-campus events, by comparing and contrasting the main points.

To receive the full 2.5% of extra credit, explain in three or four paragraphs (no more than two pages) a) the event(s) you attended, b) the main argument(s) you heard, and c) your evaluation of the argument(s).

That type of extra credit will not be accepted before the middle of the semester/session, or after the date of our final exam.
